Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a solid background in government or statutory bodies’ projects to join our team. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering application development-related projects for our enterprise clients. Your expertise in managing government/ statutory bodies’ projects and your passion for delivering innovative solutions will contribute to the growth and success of our organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery for projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide expert insights, and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and develop strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
- Coordinate and oversee cross-functional project teams, including developers, designers, and other senior stakeholders, to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and procurement activities, ensuring optimal utilisation of resources.
- Conduct regular project status meetings, facilitated effective communication, and fostered strong relationships with clients and internal and offshore teams.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of project management methodologies within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years experience as a Senior Project Manager, specifically in managing government projects related to application development. Less experience will be considered as Project Manager.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and project delivery within the public sector.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external vendors.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with project management tools.
- Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
- Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) would be an advantage.
